Move (or Remove) Your Stuff

feng shui

What a wonderful story (NYT) about the Lieb House, designed by Robert Venturi, that was preserved by moving it on a barge to a new location.  It made me think of the book “Move Your Stuff; Change Your Life”.  Most of us don’t have to move our whole house or even to a new house in order to change our lives.  Just moving or removing some of our stuff can make a huge difference.  That’s feng shui in action.  I don’t know about you, but living in the northeast corridor this winter has seemed cold and endlessly dreary.  As I was driving yesterday, however, I could see the first blush of red on barren branches.  I got very excited knowing spring is really just around the corner.  Yes! Be like nature - don’t hesitate when the impulse is there.  Look at your space and start clearing out things that look stale where they are or in your life altogether.  To busy today to start?  All things start with a thought.  So respect what you notice and write a list.  Believe that it will be done.  There!  Just like nature, you are already started!
